Quick and Easy Meatballs for Your Next Get-Together

by Mandy on July 12, 2011

I recently whipped up a batch of these lovely Quick and Easy Meatballs for a pitch-in we were headed to and running very late for… hence the reason I needed something super quick and super easy!

Not only that, it only has 3 ingredients…

2 bags of Precooked Meatballs

2 bottles of Chili Sauce and 1 small jar of Grape Jelly.

First you heat up your meatballs. You can either heat them up over time in the crock pot or pop your crock in the microwave for 5 minutes, then stir and repeat until those babies heat right up.

Now combine the chili sauce and jelly and heat in microwave for 2 minutes, and then in 1 minute intervals until jelly combines with the sauce while stirring.

Now pour the sauce over your meatballs and keep warm in a crockpot.

What do you like to whip up for a pitch-in when you are in a hurry?

My Grandmother was known for these and I absolutely love them! Most people are kind of leery of them when you tell them the what the sauce is made out of it but as soon as they try it they are hooked.

Yep- that jelly throws people off! But it adds just the right flavor.

Chili sauce and jelly! Now, that’s a great idea for a sauce. We eat a lot of meatballs around here, so I’ll definitely give it a try.
