Want a quick and relatively cheap chocolate fix? Here’s a fabulously easy recipe I threw together over the weekend for my little family! {We just happened to have a sweet craving and nothing else on hand to fill it!
}
Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
1 box of vanilla/yellow cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup {give or take} semi-sweet chocolate chips
Mix first three ingredients together until moist. Fold in chocolate chips.
Spread in greased 8″ square pan. {I actually used our small bar pan from Pampered Chef.}
Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, depending on your oven.
Melt about 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and a tablespoon of vegetable oil in microwave, probably about 45 seconds or so. Put melted chocolate in plastic sandwich bag and snip off one corner. Drizzle chocolate over top of bars.
Cut, serve, and enjoy!

Wow, these do sound so easy and I love how dense yours look, almost like a blondie. I’m going to be starting a new linky party on my blog this Friday night called “Sweets for a Saturday.” Feel free to come by then to link these up.
Thanks so much for linking these up. Hope to see you again next week.
