Recently I have written a lot about some struggles we have faced as a family and a particular need we have… I am happy to say that, at least for a time this past weekend, some of those struggles were resolved…
Our oldest son’s 12th birthday was Tuesday of this week, so last weekend my husband took him to the Nascar All-Star race in Charlotte. We also surprised him by having our son’s best friend come up too – which was twice the fun since Hubby’s best friend is the dad of our son’s best friend. (Did you follow that? 
ha!) Not only did this awesome little day trip provide some great play time for all the friends, but it also provided some wonderful bonding time for a particular father and son pair who is pretty near and dear to my heart!
Father and Son Weekend … Now that’s a finer thing!
